This Privacy Policy explains how Mathis Dubois, operating under the trade name MilunonGames as an Entrepreneur Individuel (EI) registered in France ("we", "us", "our", or "Data Controller"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the virtual reality video game Havenfall Isles ("the Game").
The Game is a commercial single-player VR experience available on standalone VR devices through the Meta Horizon Store and on PCVR through Steam.
By using the Game, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
The Game is designed to operate primarily as a local experience on your device. You are not required to create a separate account with us to play.
To enable platform-specific features (such as achievements, cloud saves, or entitlements), the Game interacts with your platform user identifier (e.g., Meta User ID or SteamID). This data is processed locally or directly through the platform's official SDKs. We do not store or host these identifiers on external servers.
If your device is connected to the internet and subject to your prior consent, the Game may use integrated third-party services (such as Unity Analytics, Unity Cloud Diagnostics or equivalent services ) to collect technical and gameplay information.
This pseudonymous data includes:
Gameplay progression, completion statistics, and game balancing metrics.
Frequency of in-game actions and feature usage.
Hardware specifications (VR headset model, e.g., Meta Quest 3, OS version, graphics card).
System language and region.
Crash reports and performance stability metrics.
We do not collect directly identifying personal information, such as your real name, email address, physical address, or payment details.
Game progress, settings, and save files are stored locally on your VR headset or PC storage. We do not host, access, or manage these files. Save files may also be synchronized through platform cloud save services if enabled by the user or supported by the platform.
Technical and gameplay information is used solely to:
Improve gameplay balance and user experience.
Identify, debug, and fix software errors.
Monitor technical performance and standalone VR optimization.
We never use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for collecting and processing technical analytics data is your Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw or modify your consent at any time via the in-game settings menu.
For essential platform integration (achievements, platform validation), the processing is based on the Performance of a Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) via the platform provider (Meta/Valve).
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. Technical data is processed by trusted platform and analytics providers under their own privacy policies:
Meta Platforms, Inc. (Platform services & hardware integration) – Privacy Policy
Valve Corporation (Steam platform services) – Privacy Agreement
Unity Technologies (Analytics & diagnostics) – Privacy Policy
Information collected via third-party SDKs (like Unity) may be transferred and processed on servers located outside the EEA (including the United States). These providers utilize Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission to ensure data protection compliance.
Pseudonymous analytics data is retained by our service providers for a maximum of 24 months, after which it is deleted or fully anonymized. Local save data remains on your device until deleted by you.
Under the GDPR and applicable global laws, you have the right to access, correct, restrict, or request the deletion of your data.
Because we process data using pseudonymous identifiers (without emails or names), we cannot link analytics records to a specific individual unless you provide your platform-specific anonymous installation ID. You can stop all analytics collection instantly by disabling the "Analytics" toggle in the Game's option menu.
The Game is a cozy, non-combat experience but is not directed toward children under the age of 13, adhering to the hardware safety guidelines of standalone VR devices. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The Game relies entirely on the age-verification and parental control systems provided by Meta and Steam.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes.
The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised.
Continued use of the Game after any changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
